Nakheel, the developer best known for building the famous Palm Jumeirah, has announced another project - the Dubai Islands project. The project, formerly known as Deira Islands, is in line with the Dubai Master Plan 2040.
The project consists of 5 islands - Central Island, Shore Island, Golf Island, Marina Island and the Elite Island. Each island will have its own unique offer of various beach clubs, leisure, sports and cultural activities. In addition, an approximately 21 kilometer long beach, various parks, green areas and golf courses will be created.

In total, this project will have over 38,000 residential units, nearly 90 hotels and approximately 9 marinas. Also complementing Dubai Islands are retail, hospitality and leisure projects, making Dubai Islands another destination within a destination.
Dubai Islands also enjoys a unique geographical advantage - the Infinity Bridge will connect the island to the city. Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina can be reached in a few minutes by car.
